Troubleshooting
My sighting or list counts look out of step
Bïndo syncs in the background and usually catches up within minutes of being in signal. If your counts still look wrong after a few hours in a good signal area:
- Check you have a working network connection
- Switch away from the app and back to trigger a foreground sync
- Force-close and reopen the app
- If it still looks wrong, open Settings → Reset data to force a fresh download from the server
- Still stuck? Email support@bindo.app
The quick-add sighting opens a map instead of saving
Bïndo could not get a GPS fix accurate enough (within 50m) at that moment. It tried twice then opened the custom sighting screen. Tap the map to drop the pin at your location and save. The sighting will be recorded correctly.
I can't sign in
Email/password
Tap Forgot password and follow the code-based reset flow.
Google or Apple
Make sure you are using the same account you originally signed up with.
On a fresh install, any stale saved credentials are cleared automatically. Try signing in from scratch.
My feed is empty
You have not followed any birders yet, or the people you follow have not logged anything recently. Use the search button in the Feed header to find and follow birders.
The explore map is blank
The map tiles need a network connection to load the first time. Check your connection and try again. Once loaded, recently viewed areas are cached for offline use.
App crashes on launch
Force-close and reopen. If it keeps happening, reinstall the app. Your life list and sightings are stored in the cloud and will restore on next sign-in.
A sighting landed on a list I didn't expect
Lists collect by time, not location. While a list is open (started but not ended), Bïndo adds every new sighting you log to it, wherever you are — so a list you started in one province keeps gathering birds after you travel. To stop it, open the list and tap End list. To group birds by place instead, use Areas. See Lists & trips for the full picture.
